We’re just starting on this journey, and our goal is simple: create a lifestyle brand that truly speaks to the modern, multicultural experience. As Americans of color living abroad in Türkiye over the past few years, we found ourselves reflecting a lot on our lived experiences and how they’ve shaped our identities. We recognized that there is a constant balancing act that we do to both embrace and honor our ancestral roots, values, and traditions, while also still working to be authentic to our own wildly Western sensibilities and ways of being. We contemplated a lot on our existence in this world, where we came from, where we are, and where we hope to go.
Once we found ourselves saying “mashallah, FOR REAL!” every time we consciously felt abundance, ease, and prosperity, we just wanted to share that feeling with others. You know what we’re talking about? That feeling when you truly recognize the good in your life, and even the good from things that aren’t so great on the surface. We use “mashallah” to express a feeling of awe and beauty regarding an event, person, place, or thing that was just mentioned or experienced. We are Thankful. Appreciative. Blessed. Inspired.
This is the beginning. Coming from cultures and families who value “giving what you want to receive”, we’ve designed this simple collection to encourage you to gift, give, and celebrate yourself and your loved ones.
We know that being someone who straddles multiple societies comes with its own set of challenges. Whether it's navigating cultural differences, balancing your faith with your lifestyle, or dealing with stereotypes and prejudice, we understand and find value in these experiences and circumstances. That's why we've made it our priority to create an authentic brand that speaks to your needs, your values, and your unique identity.
We have no idea where this endeavor is going to take us, but we’re just going to take the leap. We aim to get to place where we will be sharing stories, insights, and inspiration that reflect our values and our commitment to you.
